Player agreement

We offer a quality training environment and book our venues and coaches well in advance to offer every player their best chance of advancement. Players get a chance to attend one or two trials to make their mind up if they want to commit to training with us. When a player decides to become a member they must pay a subscription. This subscription allows us to book and potentially pay for venues and equipment required well in advance. No player is compelled to attend our training, however if they want to train with us then an upfront commitment to pay the subscription is required.

Inability to train

There are no refunds because of change of mind or loss of interest. If a player is unable to train in any way possible, we will consider (upon receipt of a medical certificate from a Medical Doctor outlining a player’s inability to participate in any way for any future activity) offering an extension to the Players Agreed finish date. If a player is injured, we will modify training sessions to support that person if we have written information from your doctor or physio etc: as to what you are allowed to do!

If a player is sick for an extended period, we will consider extending an offer of an individual training session at an agreed date to make up for a lost session or to extend that players Player Agreement finish date. This will be considered if a medical certificate by a Medical Doctor is supplied. On the medical certificate we require the dates a player cannot attend training.

After training care

We take our responsibilities seriously and if the need arises we will stay back after training to ensure the safety of a child under the age of 18 if a parent/guardian/carer has not arrived on time. To that end, at the completion of training, parent/guardian/carer must ensure they have picked up their child within 15 minutes after the end of your childs scheduled training time or have provided us with alternative arrangements such as “child walking home”. Otherwise after 7.15pm a fee of $5 per minute will be payable by the parent/guardian/carer prior to the scheduled next training and the Police will be contacted after we have contacted all emergency contacts. From that point the Police will assume responsibiity for the child. Parents are not to assume that Volley Coach staff are aware of how a child will be getting home. Parents who allow their child to get their own way home must contact the Venue Manager currently Dan Higgins for all venues via email or text well before the session so that we are aware. Volley Coach staff assume total responsibility for children, so no other parent may offer to take a child under their care unless the childs’ parent first agrees by sending text or email well in advance of this happening.
